What happens if I exceed the included weight?

Short answer
If you exceed the included tonnage, a $149 surcharge per extra tonne applies — but never silently. At pickup, the container is weighed on a certified scale; you receive a photo of the load and the weigh ticket, a notice, and only then is the saved card charged. You see the exact real weight before any payment.
How the weight is measured
Each size includes tonnage (1 to 4 tonnes). At pickup, the container crosses a certified scale at the sorting centre. The real weight of your debris — minus the container tare — determines any overage. Nothing is eyeballed.
Our rule: proof and notice first
If the weight exceeds the included tonnage, $149 per extra tonne applies. But never silently: you first receive a photo of the load and the weigh ticket, then a notice. Only then is your saved card charged, off-session. You see the exact figure before paying anything.
How to avoid an overage
- Pick the right material type in the quote (heavy materials get adjusted tonnage).
- Avoid mixing concrete with light debris.
- For very heavy materials, fill the container only halfway.
